Fresh Pieces Apparel was founded by Tahj’, a female entrepreneur from East Orange, New Jersey, with a love for fashion, creativity, and putting the perfect pieces together.

In 2022, Tahj’ unexpectedly lost her mother. That loss changed everything. While navigating grief and trying to find her purpose again, she turned to something that had always brought her joy: clothing and fashion.

What started as a way to reconnect with herself became something much bigger—a brand built from love, passion, creativity, and loss.

There’s a funny story behind the name.

Fresh is actually Tahj’s nickname.

Growing up, whenever she got dressed, people would always tell her, “You fresh!” She had a natural eye for putting different pieces together and creating looks that stood out.

Eventually, “Fresh” became more than a nickname.

It became the name behind a brand.
